Job Description:
A Physiatrist is sought to perform independent medical
assessments on U.S. Veterans for the VA's disability benefits
process.
The role involves reviewing medical records via a secure Web Portal
and conducting comprehensive assessments on veterans.
Physiatrists will complete condition-specific Disability Benefit
Questionnaires (DBQs), documenting exam findings needed by the
VA.
This is a non-treating, assessment-focused position, not making
disability determinations.
Expected to assess about 4 veterans daily, with a flexible hybrid
schedule (telehealth/in-person).
Ideal candidates are interested in medical fact-finding, proficient
in reviewing electronic records, analyzing data, and completing
DBQs within 24 hours.
Requirements include a current Physiatrist license and board
certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry &
Neurology.
