As the Data Analyst in Digital Marketing, you will work closely
with our in-house digital marketing and growth teams to define
priority KPIs and analyze the performance of marketing channels and
campaigns. The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting Digital
Marketing (Paid Search, Search Engine Optimization, Display
Advertising, Paid Social Media Advertising, third-party
Marketplaces and Affiliate Marketing) teams by translating data
into reporting, statistical analysis, strategic insights and
creating automated data-driven, scalable solutions that enhance
performance across Digital Marketing Channels. Simultaneously, work
across Web Analytics, Data Science and IT technical teams to
improve solution development, data mining, data collection, data
management and data quality.

A good Analyst takes data sets and evaluates the next best move;
but a great Analyst understands the human element of marketing from
the perspective of a customer. Our ideal candidate is driven by
understanding customer purchase behavior, website user behavior, ad
tech platforms and is passionate about contributing to the
development of data driven digital marketing strategies, which are
informed by data and focused on outcomes. In this role, you'll dive
deep into the performance of digital paid marketing, SEO, online
video, paid social media, product marketing, competitor
intelligence and content engagement. You'll surface insights to
improve customer acquisition for Lands' End. Working with the
digital marketing team, you'll roll out testing framework, data
collection, reporting and data insights analysis and be a
stakeholder for Lands' End Martech stack. Collaborating with Lands'
End's Web Analytics team, you'll work on user segmentation,
incrementality analysis and attribution.
Data Analysts help map KPIs and goals to data in our system to
drive deeper business understanding and help in achieving our
business goals. Typical responsibilities include optimizing our
databases and queries, finding new insights for our overall
marketing strategy and recommendations, and assisting other teams
with their data needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leverage Big Data Cloud technologies to analyze large volumes of
data to identify trends and find actionable insights.
Develop computer programs that collect and manipulate data between
systems
Optimize data collection processes
Perform ad hoc statistical analysis
Code programs to assist with data transfers via APIs
Create meaningful reports and clear, interesting data
visualizations using Presto, MySQL and BI tools
Develop a deep understanding of the LevelUp architecture, its
related database tables and the interactions between them
Liaise with internal teams to understand product changes and how
they impact associated reports and visualizations
Automate frequent reporting requests to maximize efficiency
Create new efficiencies in processes and reporting
implementation
Programmatically automate data delivery processes
Utilizing the Elastic Stack, Build and maintain dashboards
indicating various KPIs
Conduct competitive intelligence analysis
Responsible for Digital Marketing Channel data set imports to Data
Cloud
Responsible for 3rd Party Digital Advertising Platform data set
imports to Data Cloud
Responsible for Competitive Intelligence Services data set imports
to Data Cloud
Perform channel analysis for traffic and revenue forecasting
Conduct keyword performance analysis from search channels
Develop Audience Targeting recommendations
Optimize Data Collection Processes
Determine what data needs to be collected for future analysis for
each channel
Design and maintain automated data processes
Develop models for predictive data analysis using Tensorflow and
other Machine Learning tools
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in analytics, computer science, information
technology, statistics, software engineering, statistics, or other
analytic discipline or equivalent work experience (like Google Data
Analytics Certificate). Master's Degree is a PLUS.
1-3 years in analytics role or related field
Strong competence in analyzing data and turning it into a
communicable value proposition
Experience writing SQL queries against large data sets
Experience with Web Scraping
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word,
PowerPoint, and Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc) and Google
Suite of products (Google Docs, Google Sheets).
Must be skilled in the following programming languages: Python, R,
PySpark, Java
Must be skilled in the following cloud technologies: Amazon Web
Services, Google Cloud Platform
Must be skilled in the following software packages: Tableau, Power
BI, DOMO
Experience with Athena Serverless Interactive Query Service,
Jupyter Notebook, and Google Data Studio a PLUS
