Waste Management, Inc., a leader in environmental solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Engineer III to join our Engineering & Maintenance department. At WM, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that significantly reduce environmental impact and support our mission of maximizing resource value, while minimizing - and even eliminating - environmental impact. The role involves complex engineering projects, requiring a deep understanding of mechanical, environmental, and civil engineering principles applied to waste management and recycling systems. Design and develop large-scale environmental systems for waste management and recycling. Ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in waste processing and disposal. Implement and oversee project management processes from design to execution. Analyze system performance and recommend improvements. Prepare and present project reports and documentation. Stay updated on new technologies and regulations in the waste management industry. Proficient in CAD and other engineering software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Expertise in project management and regulatory compliance Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Understanding of sustainability practices and renewable energy systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus Training in environmental compliance and sustainability
