Seeking board eligible/certified General Surgeon, fellowship trained and board eligible/certified in Surgical Critical Care to practice at our regional referral center hospital located in beautiful northern Idaho. Ideal candidates will have a strong focus on quality, safety, teamwork and patient satisfaction and be expected to support and expand the emergency general surgery, trauma surgery and surgical critical care programs; working with a team of 10 dedicated general surgeons and 5 APPs.

• Full-time Surgicalist will have no fewer than 40 hours of work per week, covering the trauma and acute care surgery service and follow-up clinic with after-hours night call of 6 nights per month.

• ACS verified Level 3 Trauma Center, seeking Level 2 designation in 2023
• 1,100 trauma admissions annually with 93% blunt / 5% penetrating
• Practice at only one hospital, a 332 bed hospital, averaging over 14,500 inpatient admissions annually, serving a market area of the ten northern counties of Idaho, and a population of over 300,000.
• 24/7 hospitalists and intensivist coverage in addition to full medical and surgical specialty backup
• State of the art imaging capability immediately adjacent to the emergency department with 3 CTs and 2 MRIs and 3 USs
• Mayo Clinic Care Network provides clinical resources and direct access to Mayo Clinic specialists
