Join Our Team as an ER Tech! /n/nJob Description: /n- Position: ER Tech /n- Unit: Emergency Department /n- Shift: Mid 6x8-Hour (15:00 - 23:30) /n- FTE: 1.2 (48 hours/week) /n- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend /n- Patient Ratio: /n - Days: 1:6 /n - Nights: 1:6 /n - Weekends: 1:6 /n- Orientation Hours: 40 /n- Daily Census: Varies from 10-26 patients /n- Number of Visits Per Day: 19 /n- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Children, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics /n- Interdisciplinary Support: /n - Respiratory Services /n - Phlebotomy /n - Radiology /n - Pharmacy /n- Diverse Patient Diagnoses: Deliveries, trauma, minor illnesses, COVID-19, headaches, abdominal pain, falls, abscesses, etc. /n- Special Procedures: Intubations, reductions, splinting, sutures, lavages, etc. /n/nSkills and Certifications: /n- Required: /n - BLS /n - National EMT Certification (for ER Techs) /n- Preferred: /n - Community hospital experience /n - Familiarity with rural hospital ER settings /n/nEssential Duties: /n- Manage behavioral emergencies /n- Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG /n- Apply restraints /n- Assist with ambulation, feeding, and procedures /n- Perform phlebotomy /n- Provide post-mortem care /n- Report changes in patient conditions /n- Ensure all infection control procedures are followed /n/nSpecial Equipment Utilized: /n- Glucometer /n- Lifts, splints, dressings, sutures, glide scopes, Slit Lamp, PANDA, suture carts, cast cart /n/nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): /nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
