It's a family-owned and award-winning destination that truly inspires. We are currently hiring for a Director of Restaurants to join our Food & Beverage team! The role of the Director of Restaurants is to oversee and manage all Village Outlets (Pomp, Trough, Tank, and Shed) and special dining events and Front of House Food & Beverage staff. The Director of Restaurants' primary purpose is to oversee the daily Food & Beverage service operations. You will ensure all F&B operations and are coordinated to exceed guest expectations, while working closely with the Executive Chefs to ensure the standards of service and safety guidelines are met. The benchmarks for a successful Director of Restaurants include the maintenance of all quality standards for service, cleanliness, and safety, and employee relations and staff development. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and training of all service personnel, to maintain a high level of service, as well as ensuring that all dining outlets provide exceptional and curated experiences to all guests. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain exceptional guest service and facilities by creating a quality environment through staffing, programming, service operations, and maintenance. Complete scheduled inventories and ensure proper administration processes are followed. Responsible for Front of House scheduling, ensuring that budgeted labor targets are met. Ensure all expense control systems are in place with close monitoring of all department expenses, including revenue to payroll ratio. Ensure appropriate forecasting systems are utilized. Collaborate with the F&B team to create and implement new ideas. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food sanitation and safety regulations. Be knowledgeable about the most updated laws and guidelines and communicate this information to the staff. Develop employees for career advancement using performance review systems, cross training, and developmental planning. Ensure the service team is properly trained to deliver exceptional service and to create memorable moments for guests. This could include interactive dining, table-side service, promoting specialty or signature items, etc. Create an excellent work environment, centered upon teamwork and mutual respect that is expected to focus upon guest satisfaction. Implement and effectively execute specific training programs timely and consistently to ensure staff is providing guests with quality service and product. Attend all company and staff meetings and hold weekly service training meetings and special training sessions when needed. Facilitate the line-up three times a day. Ensure service recovery programs are in place and that staff is properly trained to execute and be properly utilized as set forth by management. Execute all menus, promotions, and programs. Ensure that daily walkthroughs are being conducted in all Front of House areas. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES High school diploma or GED 6 years' experience in the food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area. Upscale, independent restaurant management experience preferred Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the Restaurant/ Hospitality profession. This includes experience and knowledge required for management of people, complex problems and food and beverage management. Ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information and make logical conclusions and recommendations. Ability to make occasional decisions which are generally guided by established policy and procedures. Supervisory/management communication skills.
