General Labor/Housekeeper - Temp to Hire Location: Spokane, WA Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Shift may vary with business needs, requiring overtime and some weekends) Employment Type: Temp to Hire Pay Rate: $20.49/hr Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for a temp-to-hire position in a fast-paced, dusty environment. The ideal candidate will follow directions, perform repetitive production activities, and maintain a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. Training and instructions are provided on the job, with proficiency expected in a short time. Key Responsibilities Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping and shoveling feed in a dusty environment. Repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds. Walk extensively and navigate up to 7 flights of stairs throughout the shift (elevator available for moving heavy items). Follow oral and written instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Communicate effectively in one-on-one and group settings. Adhere to all safety guidelines. Occasionally use company computer equipment and systems. Requirements Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, walk for prolonged periods, and navigate stairs (good knee mobility required). Skills: Basic math skills (counting, etc.). Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to pass a forklift training test (note: workers will not operate forklifts). Knowledge: Familiarity with and adherence to safety guidelines. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. Attire: Steel-toed shoes required. Work Environment This is a physically demanding role in a very dusty environment. Candidates must be comfortable with extensive walking, stair climbing, and repetitive tasks.
