eligibility criteria. Purpose of the Job The IT Director provides
operational leadership and oversight of NEW Health’s information
technology services, executing technology strategies approved by
executive leadership. This role ensures technology systems are
secure, compliant, reliable, and effectively support organizational
goals and clinical operations. The IT Director provides technical
input and recommendations to leadership and is accountable for the
effective management of IT operations, risk mitigation within the
assigned scope, and system performance. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems
performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade
requirements, and other metrics as needed. Oversee the planning,
communication, implementation, and maintenance of highly reliable
and redundant network, client, and server infrastructure. Receives,
reviews, and approves all impacting system and network upgrade
recommendations from internal IT team and Service Providers.
Develops and implements IT infrastructure continuity protocols to
minimize disruption to business operations in the event of
emergency situations or data loss. Manages assigned IT operating
budget within approved parameters. Responsible for the overall
success of IT projects, ensuring effective oversight and
accountability for scope, budget, timeline, and organizational
impact. Facilitates IT security audits and/or investigations.
Provides guidance and mentoring for career growth and training to
IT staff. Develops and maintains relationships with technology and
communications vendors. Develops and ensures adherence to
organizational IT policies and procedures. Implements long term
technology planning to support clinical operations, operational
efficiency, and organizational growth. Performs other duties as
assigned. Travel may be required. Qualifications
Education/Experience : Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information
Systems, Computer Science, or related fields. Required. Three
years’ experience in IT operations, telecommunications equipment,
network devices, and client-server systems preferred. Knowledge of
healthcare systems integration and application across various
platforms and technologies is preferred. Experience supervising
employees and managing projects is highly preferred. Skills:
Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, strong verbal and
written communication skills, strong commitment to customer
service, and high-quality work required. Physical Demands: While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to hear, use vision, stand, sit, and be mobile. The
employee will use their hands to finger, handle, and feel.
Communicating occurs constantly throughout the day. Lifting occurs
about half the time, up to 10lbs, and less than one-quarter of the
day, from 11-40lbs. Rarely is there a need to lift more than 41lbs.
