Our drivers play a critical role in maintaining the supply continuity that our clients depend on. Operating from our network of over 80 distribution centers nationwide, you will be a key player in delivering groceries and foodservice solutions to our vast network of convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores, and chain restaurants. This position requires diligence, attention to safety, and the ability to provide excellent service under varying conditions. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to transport goods, materials, or supplies to and from specified destinations. Adhere to company procedures and safety standards, as well as state and federal driving and transport regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues; perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes efficiently and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving, and retain fuel/toll receipts. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Engage with clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner while executing deliveries and pickups. Manage the loading and unloading of cargo with care and attention to accurate order fulfillment. Proven work experience as a truck driver or similar role. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Excellent knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as trucking and transportation logistics. Ability to handle physical workload necessary to load and unload goods. Strong organizational and time management skills.
