Mountain West Bank is looking for an engaged and enthusiastic
Full Time (37.0 hours a week) teller for our New Port, WA branch!
This person will be responsible for receiving and paying out money,
as well as accurately keeps records of money and negotiable
instruments involved in a financial institution's various
transactions. The teller meets the needs of customers by providing
exceptional quality service. The teller must conduct themselves in
a professional manner, be customer focused, hold confidentiality in
the highest regard, be thorough, have a technical capacity and the
ability to communicate clearly and proficiently. Hours/schedule may
vary, must have availability Monday-Friday from 08:15AM-6:15PM.
Full-Time 37 hr/wk position includes Medical, Dental & Vision
benefits, as well as 401-K and much more.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and
endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue
receipts of deposit.
- Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds
availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold
- Process savings withdrawals. Cash checks: verify endorsement,
receive proper identification and ensure validity.
- Identify counterfeit currency.
- Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates,
service charges and account histories while complying with
disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy
- Cross-sell bank products and services.
- Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot
be resolved at the teller line.
- Count and roll loose coins.
- Issue personal money orders and cashier's checks, accept orders
and payment for U.S. Savings Bonds and sell American Express
Travelers Checks (single & multiple signer).
- Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue
- Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring
that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
- Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
- Follow procedures for removing accounts for dormancy.
- Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed
- Process cash advances, redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
- Maintain appropriate currency logs.
- Follow all bank policies and procedures.
- Perform other transactions as need in accordance with policy
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but
not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the
Office of Foreign Assets Control.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors
in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light
work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk.

constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls
requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The
worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an
activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures;
transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading;
visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or
operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices
at distances close to the eyes.
