The Technical Analyst is responsible for assisting stakeholders
/ customers with information system issues and concerns (40%).
Responsible for system analysis, system implementation, and project
management (50%). Also, responsible for coordinating technical
resources while participating and assisting management and staff
develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures relating to
Information System orientation, continuing education programs, and
regulatory information compliance (10%). Ensures accuracy,
integrity, and security over computers, databases, and networks.
Responsible for assisting the I.S. Team with assigned projects and
tasks and act as back-up to Information Systems staff as
Requirements and Qualifications:
Advanced personal computer skills; to include knowledge of PC
operating systems, thin clients, and familiarity with application
programs in use at Gritman. A knowledge of database theory and
structure is helpful. Programming skills are helpful. Working
knowledge of local area networks, wide area networks, and serial
communications; to include knowledge of protocols and standards in
use at Gritman. System administration skills; to include
familiarity with Linux/Unix, Windows Server, Citrix, Cisco IOS,
print spooling, back-ups, and familiarity with current hardware in
use at Gritman. Self-motivated and customer-orientated with good
organizational, troubleshooting, and project management skills.

Occasional lifting/carrying of manuals and computer hardware

Location: Inside. Frequent exposure to noise from computer
printers and telephones. Minimal exposure to electromagnetic
fields. Minimal risk of injury due to proximity to moving parts on
computer printers and copiers. Minimal exposure to biohazardous
materials. May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient
elements, i.e., accidents, injuries, and illnesses. Occasionally
subjected to irregular hours/shifts. Frequently required to
function competently with multiple demands and tasks. May have
exposure to loud noises.
Essential Functions: 1. Maintain established policies and
procedures, objectives, quality improvement and safety standards.
2. Treat customers, peers, and other stakeholders with kindness and
respect under all circumstances. Attend to projects and tasks to
include: 3. Project management. 4. Consult with users regarding use
of information systems. Determine hardware, software and functional
requirements. 5. Supervise and coordinate volunteers, and interns
relating to projects assigned by the supervisor. 6. Performance
improvement activities. 7. Analyze processes, information use, and
system resource usage and recommend improvements. 8. Assist users
with sign-on, access, software, and hardware problems. 9. Assist in
the care and maintenance of medical center facilities, equipment,
and supplies. 10. Assist and educate users in regards to
information system issues. 11. Assist and manage implementation of
various software and hardware. 12. Installation and maintenance of
PCs, printers, and other computer hardware and software. 13.
Communicate with hospital staff, volunteers, and the medical
community on issues regarding information systems. 14. Install,
set-up, and maintain network peripherals including, but not limited
to: terminal servers, modems, switches, routers, bridges, and
network management devices. 15. Create cables and install basic
voice and data writing. 16. Create databases and design tools to
effectively use databases. 17. Maintain, install, and troubleshoot
telecommunications systems. 18. Maintain, track, and update lists
of issues that have been, or remain to be resolved. 19. Perform
other related duties as assigned or requested. Organizational
