GENERAL OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for administering and supporting the company's on-premises global Oracle Hyperion business intelligence suite (DRM, Essbase, SmartView, Planning, HFM /FDMEE and Workspace) used in the planning, consolidation and reporting of financial results for the Company. This role will serve as the user technical systems lead on the Company's migration from on-premises to the Oracle Cloud EPM suite including: EDM, FCC (consol, close & task manager), ARCS (recons), ETRCS (Tax), EPBCS (planning, financials, CapEx, Workforce, Projects, and Strategic Modeling), PCM (allocations), Data Integrations and Narrative Reporting. This person will collaborate with our systems integrator, users, and internal IT resources in supporting this initiative to a successful implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrator of the Oracle Hyperion suite of products - System 11 Essbase, HFM, FDMEE, DRM, SmartView, and Workspace.

As Itron transitions to the cloud, administrator the Oracle EPM Cloud suite of products including FCC, Planning, PCM, Narrative Reporting, EDM, Data Management and Smart View.

Backup administrator for Planning.

Ensure business-as-usual operation of the Production environment daily - including monitoring to ensure server health.

Provide customer service through a 'help desk' ticketing software system process, to aid and guide general users on matters such as system access, SmartView troubleshooting and general system Q&A.

Work with IT on ongoing application maintenance, upgrade, development, testing and implementation of application enhancements.

Work with IT researching, evaluating, designing, and testing system events including application and client rollouts, OS patch upgrades and unexpected system responses.

Administer security Group and User access to the Essbase applications.

Refresh and prepare TEST and DEV environments for development efforts and/or training scenarios, where appropriate.

Support onboarding of new acquisitions, as necessary.

Redesign, test, document and implement Essbase MaxL scripts and HFM rule changes.

Perform application metadata updates monthly.

Perform historical data verification and reconciliation of results.

Support the Accounting team during special projects, restatements and month-end close. Anticipate and proactively handle issues.

Gather Sarbanes-Oxley security testing document preparation and ad-hoc audit requests.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Extensive experience with Oracle financial systems required. Experience supporting financial close, planning & reporting systems within a large global company. Oracle EPM Cloud hands on experience is highly desired.

EDUCATION

BS in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent, is required. BS in Business Information Technology is a plus. MBA in Finance or Information Technology is a plus.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Extensive working knowledge of Hyperion products including Essbase, Financial Data Quality Management (FDMEE), Data Relationship Management (DRM), Financial Reporting and Smart View.

Experience with monthly and year-end financial close management, budgeting, planning and forecasting.

Ability to create, translate and modify Essbase calculation scripts data forms and task list within Hyperion Planning.

Ability to load financial and statistical data into Essbase via data load files, Excel templates and Planning data forms.

Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS.

Experience with meta-data management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data reconciliations.

Ability to work with end users to aid in identifying the cause of system issues and provide solutions.

Experience understanding, designing, and managing master data hierarchies and members.

Ability to perform FDMEE mapping exercise of local G/L to Hyperion Chart of Accounts.

Ability to create and amend MaxL scripting and modify VB and Windows PowerShell scripting
