Sleep Disorder TechnologistPosition Summary:Under the direction of a physician, administers various sleep studies.Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results
  • Collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis
  • Performs other clinic responsibilities within the scope of this role
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of Sleep Medicine
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

    Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
    • Has completed one of the BRPTs 5-eligibility pathways for the RPSGT exam. Visit the BRPTs website at for more information
    • Must acquire a cumulative 1800 hours of actual sleep lab experience from KH Sleep Disorders Center and/or a verifiable recent experience with an AASM accredited sleep lab/center.
    • Must earn the BRPT RPSGT credential within 18 months of hire date
      Working Conditions:

      • Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
      • Must be able to assist in patient transfer
      • Must be able to maintain a standing position
      • Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
